Music in Motion - Optum Community Centers

Low-impact workout for older adults, through song and dance

Across three locations, the Optum Community Centers in Utah offer free health and wellness classes and activities covering a wide range of interests for seniors 55 and older – all led by professionals and experts in their fields.

Including Music in Motion, a low-impact workout which uses song and dance to help older adults get active and social.

Led by a local professional dance group, Music in Motion is just one of many fun, innovative offerings at the Optum Community Centers. And while the activities are diverse – including everything from chair yoga to line dancing, and art classes to Q&A sessions covering the basics of Medicare – they share a key similarity: All community center activities are free and open to all local seniors, with no memberships required.

Music in Motion meets weekly at each of the three locations, in Sandy (Tuesday at 1:15 p.m.), Layton (Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.), and West Valley (Friday at 3:15 p.m.).
