Craft Lake City STEM Lab: Building Wellness / DIY Mental Health Journals

This workshop will examine the context for mental health challenges and present scientifically-verified coping strategies that can help build resilience through creativity, connection, and guided journaling.

Mental health challenges can often arise in response to a person’s life circumstances and the environment. This workshop will examine the context for mental health challenges and present scientifically-verified coping strategies that can help build resilience through creativity, connection, and guided journaling. Rather than relying on the formulaic, one-size fits all template journals, this workshop will result in a collage journal that reflects the uniqueness of each individual at the same time as providing a structure to help shape a narrative around your personal mental health experiences. Additionally, in order to help this self-care oriented workshop create a community connection, we will be donating 10% of ticket sales to Valley Behavioral Health, a local community-oriented mental health and addiction treatment center.
