There is a big difference between the Sugar House Art Walk and Salt Lake Gallery Stroll. For the former, one must actually walk.
Event planning isn’t Utah Open Lands’ main objective. But when it comes to the Hidden Hollow Concert series, that doesn’t matter.
The Sprague librarian had the attention of a legion, and she was happy about it. It was a legion of parents. Many of their children came home to tell them about their favorite books and even how much they love the library.
Rain poured. Even Sugar House Monument Plaza was canceled as an event venue. Still, the Sugar House Pub Crawl enjoyed success on May 16, with between 2,000 and 3,000 participants. Bars enjoyed one of their best days of the year. But as event coordinators planned the next crawl, they believed that change was needed.
At Bark in the Park last year, the splash pad was such a hit that this year, it returned. It’s for the dogs. But the recreation was so popular that it had to return for the Saturday event, City of Cottonwood Heights Coordinator Ann Eatchel said.
A director of a national libertarian group flew in from Washington to the J.L. Sorensen Recreation Center in Herriman, where an estimated baker’s dozen number of folks not affiliated with Americans for Prosperity awaited his anti-Medicaid expansion address.
The Utah Symphony was found at the home of Crystal Young-Otterstrom and her husband Joel last month after a performance. They were even joined at the house by a national group. And count the performers as impressed.

The first opportunity has arrived for Utahns to participate in the National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP), the Salt Lake County Health Department (SLCoHD) announced.
Utah Jazz and Larry H. Miller Charities announced Aug. 27 that a grant of $25,000 has been awarded to Midvale to build a new community basketball court. The entities were excited about putting a court in the Midvale area because of the developments in and around the area, Larry H. Miller Charities President Jay Francis said.
