RC Willey to close Murray location

The Murray RC Willey furniture store (corner of 6600 S and 900 E) will be closing after fifty years.
"For over 50 years, Murray has been a wonderful home for RC Willey. Our customers in the area have been vital to our success and that includes you. We truly appreciate the support of the Murray community over the years," read a statement issued by Jeff Child, president of RC Willey.
The statement cites the 50-year old building's need for "numerous upgrades to bring it up to current RC Willey standards," as the primary reason for the closure.
The store will remain open through the end of January 2021 so Murray residents will still have a chance to do some holiday shopping there as a send-off.
