Brighton High to hold free community shopping experience March 1

Brighton’s FCCLA club will hold a community shopping experience for clothing and baby items on
Friday, March 1 at Brighton High School. Anyone in need of clothing, shoes, coats, jackets or baby items may come to the school that day and pick up needed items for free.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the school’s main foyer.
 
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national student organization that aims to help young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences Education. FCCLA has over 160,000 members and more than 5,300 chapters from 49 state associations, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. The organization has involved more than 10 million people since its founding in 1945.

Brighton FCCLA has 31 members, with 55 percent of members actively preparing projects and
competing at the state level. State competition is March 26-27.
