Megaplex Introduces Weekly Classic Film Series Featuring Award-Winning Movies
Oct 04, 2016 02:13PM ● By Bryan ScottSANDY (October 4, 2016) – John Wayne, Julie Andrews, Jimmy Stewart, and many of the greatest Hollywood actors ever will soon be performing on the big screen at select Megaplex Theatres locations as part of a new Silver Screen Classics movie series.
The 2016 Megaplex Silver Screen series features ten of the most critically acclaimed movies ever made. Each film has been digitally mastered for the state-of-the-art projector and audio system available at Megaplex. Each week will feature a different classic film. The Megaplex Silver Screen Classics series starts the week of October 10, 2016 and continues until the week of December 12, 2016.
Patterned after the hugely successful Megaplex Kids Summer Movie Series, guests will have the opportunity to purchase a punch card good for ten Silver Screen Classics over a ten week period. Each punch card costs only $10 per guest and are available for purchase online at www.MegaplexTheatres.com/Classics or at participating Megaplex Theatres locations.
“The Megaplex Silver Screen Classics series is in direct response to guest requests who have asked for a program similar to the Kids Summer Movie program geared for movie fans featuring Hollywood’s greatest films,” said Blake Andersen, president of Megaplex Theatres. “We are delighted to offer generations of guests the opportunity to see some of the most iconic films ever made on the silver screen at Megaplex Theatres.”
Some of the greatest films ever made, including several Academy Award® Winners for Best Picture, will be shown at select Megaplex Theatres locations for the 2016 Megaplex Silver Screen Classics series. This year’s schedule includes the following movie titles (subject to change without notice).

Week 9 Driving Miss Daisy December 5 or 7, 2016*
Week 10 The Searchers December 12 or 14, 2016*
Presented in partnership with Summit Vista and Heritage Reverse Mortgage, the Silver Screen Classics will be shown on select weekdays (except on holidays) at participating Megaplex Theatres.
Each Silver Screen Classics movie pass costs only $10. That means adults and children pay the same low price of only $1.00 per movie! Individual movie tickets may be available at the Box Office or Guest Service Desk at participating Megaplex locations for $1.50 each. Guests save 33% by purchasing the ten week 2016 Megaplex Silver Screen Classics Movie Pass over purchasing individual tickets at the box office.
One pass entitles one guest to attend up to ten different classic Hollywood films. All of the features are rated “G” or “PG” and are suitable for guests ages 12 and older.
