True Story SLAM

EVERYONE HAS A STORY TO TELL. London Studios is proud to announce a new monthly series at our studio event space starting January 7th: "True Story SLAM". Each month will have a new theme: LOVE Story, SCARY Story, MUSIC Story, TRIUMPH Story, etc. True Story Slam is held the 1st Thursday of each month. Audience members are the judges in an anonymous vote. The winner of each month receives $100 and moves on to compete for Best Storyteller at the True Story SLAM final at the end of the year. 10 slots per monthly slam night, 5 minute slots each. Stories must be TRUE and have happened to YOU (not your Aunt Cathy or best friend). No angry rants or profanity laced diatribes please. We want real stories that entertain with a beginning, middle, and end. Ages 18 and older. Call 801.849.0277 or email [email protected] for more details. Start thinking about your personal story you'd like to share or encourage a friend who you know has a great story to tell! January's True Story SLAM theme is "CAUGHT". Tell us about a time you got caught or caught someone else in an act of breaking the law, breaking trust, or doing something you or they knew was wrong. First 10 Storytellers to sign up get the January spots. Doors at 7pm, Stories start at 7:30. Blake's Gourmet Food Truck will be parked outside!
