Draper Historic Theatre is debuting an original play “Leave It in Writing.” Performances will take place at 7 p.m. April 8, 9 and 11. Written and directed by South Jordan resident Tanner Tate, the play is narrated by the main character Tucker as he writes a memoir that recounts the events of the past year which have transformed his family.

The 75 minute play features 12 local actors and was described by the theatre as “a powerful testament to the struggles, pain, and importance of family.”

Parents are advised the play does contain mild language, discussions concerning divorce and one scene dealing with underage drinking. Tate advised the show could be considered rated PG.

Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for the general admission. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.buyyourtix.com/ or at the door.

Tate is currently a student at Utah Valley University studying theater production arts. He works for his family’s business, the Tate Academy of Theatrical Arts.
